Engage Training and development Ltd, a Doncaster based organisation, has been accredited with the nationally recognised quality mark for organisations which provide support to individuals to make learning and work more accessible – the matrix Standard.
Engage Training & Development Ltd gained accreditation to the matrix Standard in three months, during which time the organisation facilitated workshops for all staff and allocated tasks to specific staff.
Engage Training & Development Ltd are a private training provider we help young people find their feet in the world of employment. We train, develop and nurture our learners throughout their whole programme. Turning them into amazing employees and giving them a good old chance in their chosen career
Engage Training & Development Ltd currently has 25 staff and 200 learners and it wanted to ensure that these employees and service users were receiving the best information, advice and guidance possible. The organisation decided that the matrix Standard, amongst other things, would help it to “In assessing ourselves within the matrix framework we were able to review each aspect of our organisation and services against the set criteria, recognising where services could be further developed to meet the needs of partners, stake-holders and learners”. Says Geoff Burgess (Operations Manager). Having achieved the matrix standard, we are confident that we deliver a quality assured service which is benchmarked by the most prestigious national IAG standard
When we decided to go for accreditation in November 2014, our original thoughts were that
having gone through major management and staff team changes, it would be a good opportunity to gain an external bench mark that validates what we do and achieving the matrix Standard would support the organisation, when we retender for the Register of Training Organisations and in securing funding bids.
As an organisation we have improved our internal systems and adopted continuous improvement as an ethos and a way of life. Improved team working and an increase in confidence have resulted in a definite feel-good factor throughout the organisation and the learners.
Extracts taken directly from the report illustrate the level of support that Engage Training & Development Ltd has in place for disenfranchised young people:
David Allan, Managing Director at emqc Ltd said of the organisation’s achievement:
“This matrix Accreditation is another example of how the matrix Standard is proving effective for all types of organisations, helping them to provide a more professional service offering and to strive to be the best in their sector.”
